Serenade Jazz Orchestra
About the Band

Established in 1991, the Serenade Jazz Orchestra was founded by Maury and Rick Oldham as the 2nd generation big band modeled after the famous big bands which Maury led in the 1940’s and 50’s.
The band has been host to many of the top jazz musicians in Indiana performing at venues, festivals and private parties for over 33 years including the Jazz Kitchen as a regular featured act.
The Serenade Jazz Orchestra music library has one of the most varied lists of charts ranging from classic big band tunes from the 1940’s to the modern jazz bands of today, as well as many R&B and top 40 tunes arranged for big bands.
The Serenade Jazz Orchestra often pays tribute to local jazz artists and arrangers honoring their memories and works which have paved the way for the promotion and enjoyment of live music.
